The third annual Wedbush Presents Hermosa Beach Open kicked off today with a full day of men’s and women’s qualifying action. Under perfect conditions on the South Bay sand, teams battled for their place in the 2026 main draw.

Women’s Bid Winners
Macy Jerger / Tory Paranagua
Top qualifier seed Macy Jerger and Tory Paranagua needed just one match to secure their place in the main draw. The two Florida State alumni defeated #16 Molly Labreche and Ines Piret to advance through the qualifier and continue their run in Hermosa.
Ellie Davis / Chloe Hoffman
Ellie Davis and Chloe Hoffman earned their main draw berth after winning two matches on Thursday. The duo opened the day with a straight-sets victory before being pushed to the limit by #8 Megan Gebhard and Katie Lindstrom. Davis and Hoffman ultimately prevailed in a nail-biting third set, 15-13, to punch their ticket into the main draw.
Amber Stivrins / Lauren Stivrins
Sisters Amber and Lauren Stivrins made quick work of their qualifier run, winning both of their matches in straight sets. The Latvian sister duo defeated the #21 seed in their opening match before sweeping the #28 seed to secure a place in the main draw.
Belen Castillo / Anaya Evans
#4 qualifier seed Belen Castillo and Anaya Evans cruised through Thursday’s action without dropping a set. The pair recorded straight-set victories in each of their two matches to advance into the main draw.
Kiara Vitoria Ernesto Jeronimo / Ana Beatriz Sanches Francelino
Brazilian young guns Kiara Vitoria Ernesto Jeronimo and Ana Beatriz Sanches Francelino entered the qualifier as the #19 seed and battled through a three-set opening-round victory. Their second match was decided by forfeit, sending the young Brazilian pair through to the main draw.
Natalie Myskowski/Paloma Bowman 2 seeds emotional after qualifying into the main draw

#2 qualifier seed Paloma Bowman and Natalie Myszkowski were pushed all the way in their bid-clinching match. After advancing through their first match, the pair went three sets against #15 Eleonore Johansen and Daniella Kensinger and escaped a dramatic deciding set, 16-14, to earn a spot in the main draw.
Addison Junk / Avery Junk
Twin sisters Addison and Avery Junk made an immediate impression in Hermosa ahead of their first season at Florida State. The #6 qualifier seed swept its opening match before being pushed to three sets against #11 Maddy Byrne and Katherine Clevenger. The Junk sisters came through in the deciding set to secure their main draw berth.
Adelina Okazaki / Quinn Perry
#7 seed Adelina Okazaki and Quinn Perry put together one of the cleanest qualifier runs of the day, winning both of their matches in straight sets. The duo did not drop a set on its way into the 32-team main draw.
Men’s Bid Winners
Cole Aidnik / Kyle Baily come from behind to take down the 1 seed to advance into Friday

#16 qualifier seed Cole Aidnik and Kyle Baily took the long road into the main draw, playing three matches on Thursday. Their run was highlighted by one of the biggest upsets of the qualifier as they knocked off top-seeded Pedro Joaquim Brandão Ribeiro and Lucas Sotelle Silva to secure their place in the main draw.
Patrick Buckel / Chris Shaffer
#8 Patrick Buckel and Chris Shaffer opened their qualifier with a victory over #25 Dylan Foreman and Andrew Nielsen before finding themselves in a battle against #9 Earl Schultz and Alex Ukkelberg. After dropping the opening set 19-21, Buckel and Shaffer responded with a 21-19 second-set win before taking control of the third, 15-9, to advance.
Tomer Hadar / Artúr Hajós
#5 qualifier seed Tomer Hadar and Artúr Hajós rolled through both of their Thursday matches without dropping a set. Two straight-set victories secured their place in the Hermosa Beach Open main draw.
Marcus Carvalhaes / João Pedro Mares
#4 Marcus Carvalhaes and João Pedro Mares were perfect across their qualifier run, winning each of their two matches in straight sets. The duo advanced comfortably through Thursday’s action to earn a main draw berth.
Robert Kemp / Rouzbeh Rahnavard
Canadian duo Robert Kemp and Rouzbeh Rahnavard also completed a flawless qualifier run. The #3 seed won both of its matches in straight sets to move into the 32-team main draw.
Dexter Campbell / Skyler Kaufman
#6 qualifier seed Dexter Campbell and Skyler Kaufman did not surrender a set across two matches Thursday. The pair swept both opponents to earn their place in the main draw.
William Rivera / Diego Rosich
#23 qualifier seed William Rivera and Diego Rosich produced one of Thursday’s standout runs, winning three matches to reach the main draw. After taking their first two matches in straight sets, Rivera and Rosich faced #7 Riley Owen and Quin Zilch with a bid on the line. They dropped the opening set 17-21 before storming back to win 21-14, 15-13 and complete the upset.
Rowdy Lennon / Logan Mister
#2 qualifier seed Rowdy Lennon and Logan Mister handled business throughout Thursday’s action. The pair swept both of their opponents without dropping a set to secure their spot in the Hermosa Beach Open main draw.
